Belmont Park Play Area, Guisborough

Many months of hard work by the Belmont Park Community Group has resulted in a fantastic transformation of the local play area which can be enjoyed by the whole community. HAGS were awarded the formal tender for the design and build of a new community play facility.

Over the years, the play area had seen vandalism and neglect. The equipment had been removed and not replaced, leaving the community with nothing in the way of play provision. The Community Group worked with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council over a number of years to secure funds for the project.

The old multi-play unit and surfacing which sat within the existing fenced play area were removed and this area was developed into a Toddler area featuring a new multi-play unit, Daisy basket swing, 1.8m Olympic Swing, Turtle Rocker and Rota Roka.

Junior equipment was sited outside of the fenced area onto existing grass with grass matting added. Items included a Zip Wire, UniPlay system, Dual, NRG Trail and Multipondo. The customer also wanted to encourage Inclusive play so we added a Mirage seat onto the 2.4m Olympic Swing.

The Belmont Park community celebrated with an official opening in July 2016.
