Project Background
"Henley’s former adventure playground had fallen into disrepair, with several pieces of equipment no longer functional. Additionally, it did not optimally utilise the available space and lacked the necessary challenges and excitement for older children in the target age range. Our goal was to completely renovate the playground, incorporating new equipment that users desired, maximizing the available space, and creating a high-quality playground that complemented the overall offerings at Mill Meadows. Through consultation with playground users, we identified key products that appealed most and would add excitement, challenge, and a sense of adventure. The selected items included a large high-level multiply unit with a tunnel slide and monkey bars, a zip wire, a basket swing, and a titan carousel. Additionally, we requested a series of climbing nets, forming a continuous course to challenge users." - Henley-on-Thames member
