Holme Pierrepont
Holme Pierrepont Country Park is set in 270 acres of Parkland and is home of the National Water Sports center, outdoor activities and offers a multitude of accommodation types from camping pitches, glamping pods and hotel style rooms. The playground embarked on a transformative journey inspired by the client’s vision.
Following a comprehensive client consultation, the objective was clear: design a novel play space that harmonizes with the park's natural beauty. This endeavour sought to achieve several key goals:
•Enhances its natural surroundings with earthy colours.
•Offers a statement centre piece like no other within proximity.
•Has a variety of equipment with multiple play values.
•Allows children of all ages to enjoy a day out with their families.
•Promotes health and wellbeing.
On the 27th of May, Holme Pierrepont County Park was joined by Councillor, John Cottee, from Nottinghamshire County Council and Sean Cummings, Holiday Park Manager to open its door to the public. It was a bank holiday; the sun was shining, and the new play area was packed with happy children and their families thoroughly enjoying themselves! The perfect day for such a wonderful event. The undeniable focal point of the play area was the bespoke 2-tower treetop unit meticulously crafted by HAGS. This exceptional installation fulfilled the client's aspiration for an awe-inspiring piece that would captivate young hearts. The unit offers multiple play activities such as climbing, sliding, tactile and socialising and encourages children to challenge themselves and push boundaries. But don’t just take it from us…
