New Abbey playground

Since 2019, the dedicated members of the New Abbey Play Park Committee have tirelessly pursued their vision of transforming the outdated play area in their village. Through relentless fundraising efforts, including grant applications and community events, they successfully raised an impressive £74,000, paving the way for the realisation of their vison: a modernised play area for the next generation of children.

HAGS and Parc construction collaborated to secure the bid for the redevelopment project, focusing on rejuvenating the play area to promote inclusivity. Their primary goal was to offer a diverse range of activities, including swinging, rocking, sliding, jumping, interactive play, and relaxation.

The grand unveiling of the park on March 16, 2024, was a momentous occasion, celebrated in style by the entire community. The festivities commenced with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, allowing everyone to partake in the joyous event, fostering inclusivity at its core.
