Ockwells Park, Maidenhead

Ockwells Park in Cox Green, Maidenhead, is owned by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. Originally part of the Ockwells Manor Estate, in the Windsor Forest, the park opened to the public in the 1980s and now includes a large play area as well as sports pitches for softball and baseball.

HAGS was chosen to improve this play area, which was outdated and lacked more challenging equipment for older children. Children were closely involved in the decision-making process, which resulted in this fantastic solution for all ages.

The team at the Royal Borough were impressed by HAGS' speedy response, clear understanding and vision of their needs.The HAGS design team then continued to impress them with a design which matched their needs and budget.

Despite some challenges caused by Covid-19 restrictions, the playground was completed and offers a large UniPlay unit, a toddler trail obstacle course, as well as some great solo items.
